About Milkwood

Milkwood is the culmination of our long held dream to open and run a small neighbourhood restaurant. When the chance came to do this in Pontcanna, it was too good an opportunity to turn down.

Selling our interests in The Potted Pig and Porro was a tough decision. We put so much of ourselves into these restaurants, learnt a whole lot, made lifelong friends and had a lot of fun.

However, we all live in the area with our young families, and Milkwood's predecessor — Cibo restaurant — has been a big part of our cooking lives, being the place where we first met and decided to open a restaurant!

Food at Milkwood

Sometimes things are meant to be, and we hope Milkwood will serve the community well, like Cibo did for so many years.

The Team

Cerys Furlong

Cerys Furlong

Cerys benefits from living with a chef, begrudgingly knocking-up fishfingers and chips for the kids when Tom is at work. Aside from pretending to be a restauranteur and publican, she occupies herself as Chief Executive of the gender equality charity Chwarae Teg. Cerys keeps Tom and Gwyn on the straight and narrow!
